简介:

张培震,男,1955年12月23日生,中国科学院院士,地震动力学国家重点实验室主任,973项目“活动地块边界带动力过程与强震预测”的首席科学家。

1982年在中国科技大学研究生院和中国地震局地质研究所获硕士学位;

1987年获美国麻省理工学院(MIT)行星与地球科学系地球物理学博士学位;1987-1991年在美国内华达大学新构造研究中心从事博士后研究;

1991-现在, 中国地震局地质研究所副研究员、研究员;

2013年当选中国科学院院士。

研究方向:

长期从事地震地质和新生代构造地质研究,在中国大陆现今构造变形、青藏高原生长与动力学、活动断裂习性与强震复发规律、新构造与气候变化、利用GPS技术研究构造变形与地震活动等。
